Epic Treadmills
Epic treadmills offer the features and quality that you would expect from the equipment at your local gym, but at prices you can actually afford. Delivering high quality residential and light commercial machines that keep up with consumer demand for more features and increased power, this remains one highly competitive force in today’s market.
Epic treadmill reviews mostly praise the extra cushioning offered on the treads of most models. Consumers who go for this brand tend to be after comfort and convenience features such as thicker belts and built-in technology. They are also after a great value and big bang for their buck.
By far the most popular model right now is the Epic View 550 Treadmill. It offers a 3.0 CHP commercial grade motor that is backed by a 12 year warranty. It is capable of going up to 12 mph with a maximum 12% incline. The 20” x 60” belt is long enough for even the taller runners to reach full stride comfortably. All of this adds up to a powerful machine that can support users up to 350 pounds.
The convenience features include a built-in 7” flat screen TV, heart rate sensors built into the handlebars, a fan to keep you cool, MP3 player plug-in, and 28 preprogrammed workouts. It is also a fold-up model that lowers itself gently down to the floor to prevent it dropping like most other models. Yet, it is still a larger sized unit, so not necessarily for space saving.
Another popular option is the Epic 425 MX Treadmill. It is very similar to the View 550, but it is a space saver version. It has the same motor and speed/incline capabilities, as well as the same sized belt. The difference is this one only features 12 preprogrammed workouts and adds room to create and store custom workouts. It still folds up and slowly lowers down for the user.
The Epic 600 MX Treadmill is a commercial grade machine offering a 2.5 HP commercial quality motor. The features are once again very similar to the other models, except this one has a smaller belt, measuring at 20” wide and 55” long. It also does not have the lifetime frame warranty that the other two models hold.
One other commercial grade machine worth mentioning is the Icon Epic T60 Folding Treadmill. It offers a 3.0 HP motor and a 20” x 60” belt. With 20 preprogrammed workouts and room to create and store custom designed workouts, it delivers a lot of variety for home workouts that never get boring.
Epic treadmills are just one line of treadmills manufactured by Icon. A more popular line that most people are familiar with is the NordicTrack treadmill.
